Overview
MHA in Ulster County, Inc. seeks a Full Time (37.5 hours per week) CORE Direct Care Worker to provide Individual Psychoeducation, Skill Building, and Rehabilitation Counseling to adults who have been referred for Community Oriented Recovery and Empowerment services (CORE) to achieve long-term recovery by improving their functional abilities to the greatest degree.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
The pay range for this position is $21.20 - $24.47 hourly depending on education.
Responsibilities Include:
- Work with clients referred to CORE to improve their functional abilities by providing rehabilitation counseling, skill building, and psychoeducational interventions within client's homes and/or community.
- Complete all CORE assessments, service plans, and billing notes
- Work together and collaborate with CORE referred individuals, their managed care (insurance) plan, other service providers, family, and government partners.
- Travel to clients’ homes and into the community to perform assessments and ongoing care management duties using company vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Include:
- High School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years’ experience in behavioral health OR
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field OR
Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) OR
Certification as a Certified Peer Specialist - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Must have a clean, valid NYS driver's license with 3 years driving experience.
